What support is available?
Take Part These research projects covered many different types of research and mostly were not funded by Parkinson’s UK. Some were even from outside the UK.
Take Part Just by enabling people to self refer to research, we can increase this percentage.
What Taking Part covers Bridging the communication and cultural gap between people affected by Parkinson's, researchers and health care professionals Look out for our new ‘Introduction to Taking Part in Research’ Major project to create new tools and systems to support more people to take part in research
Do you talk about research? Has anyone affected by Parkinson’s asked you about taking part in research? Do you feel confident talking to people about research? Do you know where you can signpost people affected by Parkinson’s to so they can find out more about research opportunities?
Participation Support Request Form We can support good quality research which has potential deliver benefits for people affected by Parkinson’s. We assess each request to ensure it meets our required standards. Ultimately it will be at the discretion of the Parkinson’s UK research team whether the research is eligible for support and how this is provided. www.parkinsons.org.uk/participation
