Oarfish

Inherited Traits The Oarfish is covered in blue skin. Even though it is a fish, it has no scales. It’s blue skin blends in with the ocean blue. This skin acts like a camouflage.

The Oarfish’s special features It has no visible teeth It’s eyes are super tiny

Special Features This is not like any other fish. The Oarfish has over 400 fins along it’s back and head. It’s skin feels like jelly.

Where does the Oarfish live? North America- in the coast of Mexico Atlantic Ocean

It sleeps during the day and hunts at night. The Oarfish eats krill.

Behaviors The Oarfish gives off an electric shock when touched. This is used to protect it from predators like sharks.
