The books Hatchet The Rifle Brians hunt

About the books Published September 30 1987 Brian goes on a plane too see his dad but the pilot encounters a heart attack. When he crash lands in the Canadian forest he must learn to survive with a gift from his mother. THE HATCHET.

The rifle There was a gunsmith who spent years trying to craft the perfect rifle. Then he made it. The rifle goes on a third person journey.

Brian’s hunt Brian returns to the Canadian wilderness. When he goes to sleep he hears noises. When he comes out he finds an injured dog. He helps the dog and tries to teach it.

About the author He was born on May 17th, 1939 Location – Minneapolis, Minnesota Details – He spent most of his adult life in poverty Awards-John Newberry Medal and more He write autobiographical books

opinion I rate it a four and a half because I like the adventures that the characters go through but I don’t like how some go from person to person.

recommend I’d recommend this author to young adults who like survival adventures because these books make you wonder and it also tells you about life.

Types of characters They’ re all different. In a novel there’ s a boy who experiences the wilderness another one it goes through a rifle going from owner to owner.

Issues or themes Bravery - Brian is stuck in the wilderness but he tries the best he can to survive against nature Experience/learn – After Brian was in the wilderness he learned how to survive in the wilderness again Survival – Brian tries to stay alive avoiding nature

Writing style He uses literary devices like flash backs in hatchet Archetypes, innocence in the rifle Point of view in Brian’s Hunt, with the dog
