ENGINEERS EUROPE ADVISORY GROUP WHY ? (Part 1) 1. To assist the EU to be a centre of excellence in Engineering Education and Training. 2. To support member countries outside the EU in their modernisation efforts. 3. To support higher education institutions, business and our national professional organisations in their internationalisation efforts. 4. To promote common values and work towards a closer understanding between the stakeholders. EEAG, 11 June 2018

ENGINEERS EUROPE ADVISORY GROUP WHEN ? Start in Q2-2018 First Meeting with Academic & Professional Organizations = identify common ground (11 June). Official launch of EEAG in Second Meeting with also Business Associations and Policy Representatives (11 September) Participation  1 or 2 representatives per identified stakeholder + key FEANI-officers = 20-25 people + others. OBJECTIVES AND GOALS Ensure a single voice of engineers in Europe, being heard by the EU and therefore obtain institutional weight. Become the principal contact for the EU-institutions and therefore an active and credible partner for policy makers. Highlight and promote the role of the profession in the society and for economic growth. Develop policy/position papers in common and involve industry/employers. Engineers Europe should seek a closer cooperation with industry and employers and involve them. EEAG, 11 June 2018

OBJECTIVES AND GOALS 6. Establish a consortium with key-stakeholders that can have an impact on society, i.e. by elaborating common statements, press releases, manifesto’s or policy papers to the EU institutions. The Professional Organization as “Think and DoTank”. 7. Provide input and know-how to other European networks of National Members, while obtaining input from industry and policy makers and vice versa, providing “harmonized” input to them (“engineers” to speak with one voice in Europe). OBJECTIVES AND GOALS 8. Ensure one European Consortium to speak to other International Bodies at eye-level (IEA, WFEO, OECD, EU, etc.). 9. Systematic and complete coverage of the major issues in the policy area where the engineering profession is concerned, enabling a highly structured approach providing clear, concise, detailed, pre-digested information on the EU dossiers our respective NMs need to follow, EEAG, 11 June 2018
