Conquer the Word! 201.1.12 Use letter-sound matches and structural analysis to decode grade level words.

In order to “conquer” some difficult words, you may have to use structural analysis. That just mean that you use the parts of the word that you already know! It really helps to know about prefixes and suffixes.

Do you know how these prefixes change the word? Prefixes are added to the beginning of words. Some common prefixes are: un pre mis re not before wrong again Do you know how these prefixes change the word?
