Why Create a Digital Portfolio Ease of Reporting Ongoing record of learning Sharing with a wide variety of people - from Grandmas to Teachers Seeing growth over a period of time is exciting!! No scrambling at each portfolio period for evidence of work. No endless paper!

Three Ring Available on Computer, Phone or Tablet Three Ring

Advantages Easy to use Organize information anyway you would like Ability to sort by subject Ability to share with others Ability to add voice, video, documents or photos as well as comments and additional information.

DisAdvantages One format only - picture and text… Not as easy to search for specifics Not as accessible

Evernote available on Computer, Phone or Tablet Evernote

Advantages Syncs well to all platforms Can access off-line Very easy to use! Can add all types of files Great filing system for easy to find and share.

Disadvantages Information can get lost at times in the notebooks and notes Once you have invited someone into a notebook they have access

Blogger Available on Computer, Phone or Tablet (but much easier on Computer) Blogger

Advantages Very visual Ongoing record of school work Ability to look back on progress and past assignments Easy to share Will allow you to use video, audio, links, slideshares etc…

Disadvantages A blog is much more work Keeping up with reporting can be more challenging Blogging takes more thought

Google Sites or Docs Available on computer, Phone or Tablet Google You would need to have a Google Drive account from a Gmail account.

Advantages Easy to access Can create a wide variety of files and folders Easy to share - can share with a variety of people at once Can give the ability for your teacher to comment Can resolve comments by fixing feedback

Disadvantages Not as aesthetic as a blog Not as visual Not a lot of presentation options Harder to include pictures and videos
