2 Your library’s digital collection
With the OverDrive service, you can borrow and: Read eBooks. Listen to audiobooks. Watch streaming video.* What is OverDrive? OverDrive is your library’s digital collection. What can you do with OverDrive at your library? With the OverDrive platform, you can borrow and enjoy: eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming video. *Note that content and format availability may vary by library type and geographic region. © OverDrive, Inc. 3 Sign in options *Recommended: insert a screen-grab of your library’s Home page.* It’s easy to access our digital collection; all you need is a device with a modern web browser, and your library login information. You also have the option to sign in with your OverDrive or Facebook account. The first time you choose one of these options, you’ll be asked to add your library card, but for future visits you’ll just need your OverDrive or Facebook account information. 4 Find and borrow a title *Recommended: insert a screen-grab of your library’s Home page.* Once you are logged into the digital library, it’s easy to borrow and enjoy titles. To find something to borrow, you can browse the titles on the home page, explore subjects, view a collection, or complete a quick or advanced search using the magnifying glass. © OverDrive, Inc. 5 Multiple ways to find titles
Browse all Subjects or view Collections by format. Access Reading Rooms with just one click. *Recommended: insert a screen-grab from your library.* You’ll see a number of titles to borrow right from the home page. Our spotlight collection is featured at the top. Use Subjects to browse the entire library catalog by selecting a subject or format. Select Collections to browse the library’s format-specific collections. * *(if applicable) Under the Special menu, you’ll also see a list of our reading rooms where we feature content specifically for kids, teens, or movie goers. Kids and Teens Rooms are also featured next to the Collections menu so they’re just one click away. © OverDrive, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

6 Filter & sort collections or search results
*Recommended: insert a screen-grab from your library.* Once you’ve selected a collection or submitted a search you’ll be taken to a search results page. From here you can filter through your results by availability, format, subject, and more. You can also sort your results by date added, popularity, and other options. © OverDrive, Inc. 7 Title information *Recommended: insert a screen-grab from your library.* You’ll notice that each title has easy-to-understand availability banners and action links for one-click borrowing. Look for the Available banner to find titles that can be checked out right away by selecting Borrow. Titles with the Wait List banner can be placed on hold. You’ll also be able to tell if you’ve already Borrowed the title, if you’ve already placed it On Hold, or if it’s Coming Soon. 8 Change the lending period for each title
*Recommended: insert a screen-grab from your library.* When you select a title, you’ll be taken to the title details page where you can see more information about the title including the number of copies, a description, reviews, titles you may also like, and more. You can also change the lending period for a title before you borrow it. You can select the dropdown next to the Borrow button to change the lending period for a single title, or you can update your default lending period under your account settings. © OverDrive, Inc. 9 Loans *Recommended: insert a screen-grab of your library’s Loans page.* After you borrow a title, it will be available on your Loans page. You can navigate here from the Books icon or the “My Account” menu. Once there, you select Read in browser or Listen in browser to read instantly using OverDrive’s own browser-based ereader and audiobook player. 10 Read or listen in your web browser
Read or listen instantly in your web browser. No software or app to install. Sync across sessions and devices. Adjust reading or audio settings. Add bookmarks, highlight, and notes. OverDrive Read OverDrive Listen Selecting Read in browser and/or Listen in browser is the simplest way to start reading eBooks and listening to audiobooks on a computer or mobile device. It’s ideal if you are new to digital content or prefer to read or listen on a laptop or desktop computer. There are no apps or software to install, no files to download, and no authorization needed, other than your library login information. Read and Listen provide a seamless reading or listening experience on any device with a modern web browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. 12 Help website Search for new articles on how to use your new website. Share these articles with your patrons. When prompted, choose the image on the right so you’re finding the articles that best align with your patrons’ experience. OverDrive Help is a great resource when you’re getting started with eBooks and audiobooks from our digital collection. Here you’ll find step-by-step tutorials, short and easy to understand videos, and even troubleshooting tips. There’s also a dedicated Getting Started section if you’re new to digital content, and a powerful search feature if you are looking to explore more advanced topics. Many help articles give you the option to choose between images that look like the titles on your website. Choose the image on the right so that you can find the articles that fit our library.
