Summary Present Continuous is To talk about actions are happening right now. At the end of a sentence: now, right now…. Or at the beginning of the sentence with (,) such as Now, Right now,… we use Expressions of time Subjects (+) Positive (-) Negative (?) Question I I am writing a story. I am not drinking a coffee. Am I having a spot on my face? He she it He is going to school. He is not driving his father’s car. Is he eating a sandwich? you we They You are seating on a broken chair. You are not calling him. Some verbs change their spelling when "ing" is added to them 1. Verbs ending with "consonant preceded by one of these vowels: (a,u,e,i,o) and with one syllable we double the last consonant as the following Examples: run runn + ing running stop stopp + ing stopping plan plann + ing planning begin beginn + ing beginning 2. But we don’t double the last consonant if it more than one Syllable: open open + ing opening visit visit + ing visiting listen listen + ing listening happen happen + ing happening
