Public Service Announcement Many people don't know that animals around the world are endangered. Let's make a public service announcement (PSA) to inform people about the need to save this creature. Go to Arkive: Images of Life on Earth and explore information about endangered animals. http://www.arkive.org/species/GES/ Which do you think is most important to save? Download a QuickTime video of this endangered animal, insert the video into PowerPoint, and write a script for a public service announcement about saving this animal. As a class, brainstorm what should be included in the PSA such as how this animal is unique, how it fits into it's environment, and why it is important to save. Use this criteria for the assessment. Directions for Inserting Movie, Recording Sound, and Matching Media: Go to the Insert menu, choose Insert, Movies & Sounds, and Movie. Choose the movie. Set it to automatically play. Write your script in the SpeakerNotes. When you’re ready to record your sound, choose Insert, Movies & Sounds, and Record Sound. Name your sound, record your sound, and save your sound. Go to the Slide Show menu and choose Custom Animation. Choose the media sound, choose Add Effect, and OK. Choose Effect Options, Timing, and With Previous. Now your movie and sound will play together.
