Distinctive Roman Architecture By: Nasir Ratnani

Roman Architecture The Romans are very well known for their culture and their architecture. As you can see they must have mastered the art of architecture to have planned and built the Vatican.

Why ? Because Rome was such a big Empire the Romans had to make infrastructure to support the Empire. They built roads for easy transport of materials, and housing for people to live in. They built aqueducts so that they could have water ,and bath houses to relax. Also they built places for entertainment such as the Coliseum.

Influence of Roman Architecture The influence of Roman architecture can be seen around the world. As you can see the Jefferson Memorial (bottom) is similar to the Pantheon (top).
