Effective March 2014, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act requires federal contractors with 50+ employees and $50,000+ in federal contracts to: Aspire to a 7% utilization goal across job groups for qualified individuals with disabilities. Invite applicants at the pre and post-offer stages, and their employees at five year intervals to self-identify as individuals with a disability using language prescribed by OFCCP. Document and update annually several quantitative comparisons for the number of individuals with disabilities who apply for jobs and the number hired to measure the effectiveness of outreach and recruitment efforts…along with other requirements.   © 2014 US Business Leadership Network ®.
