Five Day Seating Challenge Mrs. Dooms Language Arts, Math

Day One: Birthday Order Sit in birthday order so that the person with the birthday closest to January 1 sits in seat 1. The year you were born doesnt matter. Dont skip seats When everyone is seated, the student in Seat 5 will raise his or her hand and report that the class is ready to begin. Seating Challenge

Day 2: First Name Order You are going to sit in alphabetical order based off of your first name. If there is a tie for order, use your last name as a tie- breaker. If that still results in a tie, use middle names. The person with the name closest to the beginning of the alphabet will sit in Seat 1 The last student raises his or her hand and reports that the class is ready. Seating Challenge

Day 3: Height Order Complete this challenge in complete silence: Remain silent for the entire activity. Do not talk or whisper after you enter the room. In the room, line up in order by height. The shortest person will sit in Seat 1. Do not skip seats. When the class is seated, the student in Seat 8 raises his or her hand, and reports that the class is ready. Seating Challenge

Day 4: Shoes & Hair Sort yourselves into two groups – those wearing sneakers & those wearing non-sneakers. Next, each group forms two subgroups: Curly hair and straight hair (wavy hair is classified as curly) Sit with your subgroup in order from the person with the shortest hair to the person with the longest hair.
