Setting up a Google Account Go to the Google Docs website Click on the “get account” icon Complete the online form enter your email address select a secure password
1.) Go to the Google Docs website Just search for “Google Docs” Now you are ready to sign up for an account.
2.) Click on the “create an account” icon You will need your email address for the next part.
3.) Complete the online form “strong” passwords contain numbers and symbols This is different for each new account. Check your email to verify your new Google Doc account.
Verifying your account Look for an email from Google in your inbox. Click on the hyperlink in the email. This will launch a web browser and verify your account.
Signing into your account Sign into your account by using the email and password you set up earlier. Now you are ready to create your own documents. Go to the Google Docs website.
Types of Documents “Word” type documents Presentations Spreadsheets Forms Drawing
“Word” type documents This is the same form we have been using for collaborative planning.
Presentations Students can create presentations without having to purchase software.
Spreadsheets Spreadsheets are also used with Google Forms.
Forms Forms are extremely useful.
Drawing I can add captions to photos with the drawing feature. I can also create graphic organizers.
