Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation This is an acceptable method by Regulatory Agencies. It can be done as an alternative to Excavation or as enhancement when Soil is not accessible for Excavation.

First: 2 inch Ports are installed and cut flush with the ground level. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation A gravel bed helps spread the Remediating Bacteria.

Next: Bio-Remediation & Oxygen is introduced into these ports over a period of time. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

After several applications, the Soil will become more saturated with Oxygen and Remediating Bacteria. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

Amount of Treatments and the length of time for Remediation to occur, depends on severity of contamination at each site. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

Over a period of time, the Contamination will degrade and dissipate. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

After the initial phase of Applications, the Ports will be cut and capped flush to the ground. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

These Ports can be accessed in the future for additional Bio-Applications if necessary. Cleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation

Cleanup Option A: Excavation of Contaminated SoilCleanup Option B: Bio-Remediation PROS: Less intrusive to Property. Generally Less expensive. CONS: May take a few years to complete. PROS: Remediation takes less time. CONS: More intrusive to the Property and Utilities. Generally more expensive.
