Welcome to 4th Grade Grammar!

Present Continuous Simple Present It is used when an action happens regularly or unceasingly. The present forms of verb to be are: am, is, are. Other verbs form the present tense by using their root form or by adding -s or –es. It is used to indicate an action that is happening at this moment. It uses a form of verb to be, plus another verb in the ing form.

Present Continuous Simple Present I am a student at Colegio Real. I like to play every day. Jenny comes to class every morning. My sister finishes her breakfast early. Angela usually studies in my father’s car. I am studying English now. My sister is sleeping at this moment. My parents are working right now. Look! My brother is eating breakfast.

There are no rules to change irregular verbs to the past, so we have to learn them by heart!
