2. USE We use the past simple to talk about finished actions in the past.
Yesterday I went to the cinema.
I played tennis with Maria last week.
My parents bought a house three years ago.

3. FORM The form of the past simple is the same for all persons.
You like pizza = She likes pizza
You liked pizza = She liked pizza
+ I stayed with a friend.
- She didn’t do her homework.
? Where did you go?
Did you like the film? Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.

4. REGULAR and IRREGULAR For regular verbs, add +ed.
