2 When do we use it Simple past tense is used to express about a situation or an action occured or happened in the past time with certain time. Look at the examples: My friend got an accident last week. The man purchased a car last two weeks. I went to Semarang yesterday. I didn’t sell my pet to her last night. Di d you call mom this morning?

6 Negative sentence SUBJECT DID NOT (DIDN’T) VERB 1
Last month, I did not visit my uncle. He did not buy many economic books at Gramedia yesterday. My mother did not phone me last two days. Janu didn’t play badminton with his brother yesterday afternoon. They didn’t eat much sugar in my house last night.

7 INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE
DID SUBJECT VERB 1? Last month, did you visit your uncle? Did he buy many economic books at Gramedia yesterday? Did my mother phone me last two days? Did Janu play badminton with his brother yesterday afternoon? Did they eat much sugar in my house last night?

8 INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE
WHAT DID SUBJECT VERB 1? Last month, whom did you visit? What did he buy at Gramedia yesterday? When did my mother phone me? Where did Janu play badminton with his brother yesterday afternoon? Why did they eat much sugar in my house last night?
