Government How is power (authority) distributed in your family? How does this impact each person’s participation in making decisions in your family? Just like not all families operate the same, not all countries’ governments operate the same either!

Power Distribution Examples: United States, Canada, Germany, Russia Often times large countries distribute power this way. WHY?

This is the most common type of power distribution. WHY? Example: United Kingdom This is the most common type of power distribution. WHY?

Power Distribution Example: European Union (no country is a true confederation) This is the least common type. WHY?
