Technology in second language learning and teaching technology as an unavoidable trend in education the innovative use of the Internet in English as a second language students who used to be shy became more active participants in computer-assisted classroom discussion The computer is seen to be of great help in teaching listening skills

Using videos in second language listening the use of videos may help enhance students’ linguistic abilities by reducing their fear towards listening skills practices enhancing students’ motivation Listeners can have a chance to view speakers’ gestures, expression, posture, which provides a basis of validity and authenticity of real-life communication

You can give students and audio file to transcribe and they can upload it and then check and correct the transcription

SUMMARY It is important to recognize that computers are not a substitute for effective teaching. Computers are a tool--they are simply one type of supplement to the regular curriculum in teaching English Language Learners as they develop their English language skills.
