Vanier Children’s Services 2017-2020 Strategic Plan Vision A London-Middlesex Infant, Child, and Youth Mental Health System, supported by the unique contributions of Vanier Children’s Services, providing timely, child-centred, family-friendly, culturally-informed, and comprehensive services and programs. Mission  Vanier Children’s Services improves the lives of infants, children, youth and their families through the provision of mental health services and supports based on clinical excellence, collaboration, partnerships, and system leadership. Values Respect Compassion Inclusivity Collaboration & Shared Decision-Making Evidence-informed Integrated, Child-centred Family-friendly Service Delivery Leads Effective Service System Transformation Committed to enhancement of a Healthy Workplace Vanier “Moving on Mental Health” Lead Agency Goals Vanier Core Mental Health Service Provision Goals Strategic Directions Strengthen the capacity of the “Core Services Leadership Council” to fulfil its mandate Develop & sustain service pathways to engage & embed the voice & experience of children, youth & families Engage & partner with Francophone, Indigenous, Newcomer & other diverse communities Determination of “key” Vanier core service focus, including the streamlining of internal processes to ensure smoother and more effective service pathways and responses Develop & sustain pathways to engage & embed the voice & experience of children, youth & families Build & foster internal champions and leaders Using a participatory/consensus building approach, create and execute a 3 year vision for the service area, assess current reality and determine how to achieve desired state Create & initiate an advocacy strategy to enhance system capacity Engage & align with Provincial Lead Agency Consortium Strategic Plan & Initiatives Consolidate the vision & work plans for improved youth & family engagement Attract, support and retain a diverse & engaged workforce Provide staff support & development to enhance professional capacities/career development Enhance the “Vanier Family” culture of fun, play, recognition, celebration, wellness Enablers Fiscal Sustainability & Stewardship Enhanced Board Capacity to Deliver on Lead & Core Service Roles Effective Internal and External Communication Strategies Aligned Infrastructure Supports - Physical plant, IT, HR & Administration
