What body systems are being used?

What body systems are used in this picture?

Circulatory System Made up of the heart, blood vessels and blood Blood is pumped from the heart to the lungs and mixed with oxygen Blood delivers oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body through blood vessels

Muscular System Muscles are what move your body You have over 630 muscles all over your body Voluntary and Involuntary muscle movement Your muscles use chemical energy from the foods you eat to move

Endocrine System Made up of all the different glands in your body Regulates, coordinates and controls many of your body’s functions Make chemicals known as hormones that go into your blood stream Act as chemical messengers

Respiratory System Made up of lungs, nose and mouth Helps you breathe Brings oxygen to all cells in the body

Digestive System Made up of tongue, stomach, intestines, liver Breaks down food into usable forms. Breakdown begins in the mouth and continues with the acids in the stomach. The intestines absorb nutrients from the food the body needs.

WHAT ORGAN SYSTEM IS THIS?!

Skeletal System Bones provide structure Some bones protect the delicate soft inside of your body Bones need muscles to move Joints provide flexible connections between your bones New blood cells are created inside the bones

Integumentary System Your skin, hair and nails function as a protective wrapper Keep germs out and fluids and salts in Skin is constantly shedding and making a new layer Within skin you will find blood vessels, hair follicles, glands, nerves and sensory receptors

Nervous System Made up of your brain, your spinal cord and nerves all over your body Control center to process information Coordinates all of your actions and reactions Neurons (or nerve cells) serve as messengers

Reproductive System Produces offspring Includes sperm and eggs for reproduction Differences between male and female reproductive organs

Excretory System Removes waste from the body Kidneys filter the waste out of the blood that is removed through the urethra This includes sweat!
