Combinatorial pulsed laser deposition of metal oxide thin films Takeuchi group, UMD Discrete combinatorial library Combinatorial PLD Flange X,Y- shutters/ masks 1” Heater plate Drive chain Each sensor element is made of a different metal oxide. Different aperture patterns and masks are used to fabricate combinatorial libraries and spreads of different designs. This library is an example of an Electronic Nose. . MgZnO composition spread Composition Spread of (Ba,Sr)TiO3 Dielectric constant vs composition measured by microwave microscopy Continuous phase evolution is observed.
