Examples of International Terrorism On April 19, 1995, a truck-bomb explosion outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, left 168 people dead and hundreds more injured. The blast was set off by anti-government militant Timothy McVeigh, who in 2001 was executed for his crimes. His co-conspirator Terry Nichols received life in prison. Until September 11, 2001, the Oklahoma City bombing was the worst terrorist attack to take place on U.S. soil.

Recent Example of International Terrorism At approximately 2:50 p.m. on April 15, 2013, two bombs explode near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The bombs explode within 8-12 seconds of each other, about 50-100 yards apart. The suspects are later identified as brothers, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19. They are of Chechen (region of southern Russia) origin and legally immigrated to the United States. 3 days later Tamerlan is killed in a shoot-out with police, Dzhokhar flees and is found wounded hiding in a boat the next night May15, 2015 Dzhokhar sentenced to death-pending appeal 4 victims killed

Recent Example of International Terrorism January 2015: Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris Satirical cartoon magazine headquarters attacked by two brothers, affiliated with AQAP Attacked for satirical drawings of the Prophet Mohammed 12 people died, 11 injured

Recent Example of International Terrorism On the evening of Friday 13 November 2015, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks in a northern suburb, Saint Denis. Beginning at 09:20 pm, three suicide bombers struck near the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, followed by suicide bombings and mass shootings at cafés, restaurants and a music venue in central Paris. The attackers killed 130 people, including 89 at the Bataclan Theatre where they took hostages before engaging in a stand-off with police. Another 368 people were injured,  80–99 seriously. Seven of the attackers also died.

Examples of International Terrorism Bombings at Brussels airport and a metro station in the city on Tuesday 22 March, 2016 killed 32 people from around the world. Many more were injured in the attacks. The toll does not include three bombers who died. Twin blasts struck the main terminal of Zaventem international airport, in the north-east of the city. Another explosion hit the Maelbeek metro station in the city centre, close to several European Union institutions.

Examples of International Terrorism An American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11 Mateen carried an assault rifle and a pistol into the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Sunday and started shooting, killing 49 people and wounding at least 53.

Examples of International Terrorism On December 2, 2015, 14 people were killed and 22 were seriously injured in a terrorist attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, California, which consisted of a mass shooting and an attempted bombing The suspects were a married couple, Syed Farook & Tashfeen Malik
