Using WebAccess to Register for Classes Lindsey Stever, Doug Currington

Use a track sheet as your guide to figure out what classes you need Make a rough draft of your schedule as you look at the available sections on WebAccess Look at the available classes of time and select the sections that you want in advance When registration opens, if you have selected your classes ahead of time, it is just a few easy clicks to register The Process

Finding Your Track Sheet www.Campbell.edu Finding Your Track Sheet academics >> College of Arts and Sciences >> biology >> majors and minors in biology

Selecting Classes in Advance Log in to WA Selecting Classes in Advance Then click “current students” and sign in with your University ID. Your password (unless you have changed it) is Camp###### (#= last 6 of your SSN, if you are an international student, it is the last 6 digits of your student ID number)

Selecting Classes in Advance Click “register for sections” Because we are selecting classes before registration opens, the link will say “Register for Sections is only available during preregistration”…That is ok! It will still let us select classes and save them for when registration opens

Selecting Classes in Advance Click “search and register for sections”

Selecting Classes in Advance Main UG Fall 15 Lets say we are wanting to take BIOL 221 (Human Anatomy and Physiology) in the fall of 2015: Search the “Term” dropdown for “Main UG Fall 15” …UG=undergraduate Drop down “Subjects” and select “biology” Then, type 221 in the “course number” box For this presentation, let’s say we are not sure which section we want because we are not sure when they are available. Click “submit”

Selecting Classes in Advance Your search results will be displayed. In this example, this class is only offered in two different sections: Tuesday and Thursday at either 6:00 or 6:30. Lets say that we want to take Anatomy at 6:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Check the box next to the section that you would like to register for and click “submit”

Selecting Classes in Advance Continue this process until you have selected every class you would like to register for Note: you can search for multiple classes (even of multiple subjects) at the same time if you wish Selecting Classes in Advance

Registering for Previously Selected Sections When your registration period opens…… Registering for Previously Selected Sections Click “register for sections”

Registering for Previously Selected Sections This time, click “register for previously selected sections”

Registering for Previously Selected Sections All of the classes that you saved earlier should appear. If everything looks good, under “Action”, drop down to “register for all”, then click “submit”. Viola! You are registered for classes! If you have changed your mind and want to remove a class, check the box next to the class you would like to remove and under “Action” click “remove”

Helpful WebAccess Tips “WebAccess Won’t let me register for classes online! Help!” Helpful WebAccess Tips If WebAccess won’t let you register for classes, you have a “hold” on your student account. A hold can be on your account for many reasons, for instance, your GPA may be too low to register for classes online, or the business office may have a hold on your account for financial reasons. To see the hold on your account, click “current registration holds”. To be eligible for online registration, students must have completed 12 credit hours and have a minimum of a 2.000 Campbell GPA.

Helpful WebAccess Tips “Who is my Advisor?” Helpful WebAccess Tips To find out the name of your advisor, click “My profile”.

Helpful WebAccess Tips “I want to apply to be a CUFS Mentor, but I do not know my current GPA” Helpful WebAccess Tips To see all of the classes you have taken previously, and to see your current GPA, click “Transcript”. Note- if you click “transcript”, webaccess will calculate your GPA for you. If you click “GPA calculator”, it will make you calculate your own GPA.

Helpful WebAccess Tips “What classes would I need to take if I changed my major to biochemistry? Would the classes I’ve already taken count for anything?” Helpful WebAccess Tips To see what would happen if you changed your major, click “program evaluation”. This will open a page that will allow you to complete a degree audit. In this example, we want to know what would happen if you decide to change your major to biochemistry- if classes you have taken previously will count towards your new major, and what new classes would you have to take? Next to “what if I changed my program of study?” drop down to select “biochemistry” and click submit. You may have to select a course catalog first, just click the most recent one. A form will pop up with classes that you have taken. It categorizes them into classes that will count towards biochemistry and those that will not. It also tells you what classes you would still need to take to graduate with a biochemistry degree.

Thank you!
