Arab-Israeli Conflict A Map Study

Question #1 What color indicates the Ottoman Empire in 1914? What fraction is it of the original empire?

Question #2 The orange part of the Ottoman Empire is made up of the Arabs the British were making deals with. These Arab states are in capital letters. Name the Arab states that wanted to break away from the Empire. Note the location of Palestine. This is where the Jews were migrating to.

Question#3 When you look at the key to this map, what complications can you see in making this plan work?

Question #4 The Arab coalition of Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria failed in their attempt to push the Israeli Jews into the Mediterranean Sea. What happened to the Palestinians as a result of this? Why?
