The Peninsula Post September 2011 With over 3 months through the current Rotary year, I am pleased to inform that our activities towards community service- medical, non-medical, vocational, international and TRF - for the underprivileged and less fortunate brethren have moved forward satisfactorily. We have achieved greater depth in engagement of members in these service projects. Our members initiated and successfully completed Project Roshni – Cataract Eye Camp which covered over 200 patients in Simlanagar slum. We look forward to repeating our success in years to come. In line with this month theme New Generations we hosted RJ Archana of Radio City, held debate on Aaj ka Upvas – No TV, Mobile, Internet all deeply connected with the Gen Next. Seven of our members donated to the TRF and earned PHF/ multiple PHF recognition for their generosity. We look forward to higher participation by our members in the TRF and strengthen its efforts to serve the community. The Rotary International President Rtn Kalyan Banerjee has said that all Rotarians are guided by three emphases: the Family, Continuity and Change. We are working in sync with these principles. Let us together strive to Reach Within to Embrace Humanity. Reach Within to Embrace Humanity
