Flow of Funds: Lets clarify some terms related to Share: What is the World Fund? What is DDF? (District Designated Funds) Who determines how DDF is spent? If the District raises $200,000 how much comes back to the District 3 years later? Who determines how money from the World Fund is spent? So if Our District gives $200,000 to the Rotary Foundation how much can our District get back to spend 3 years later? What is the Permanent Fund? How can the District get DDF from the Permanent Fund? 4

1. Start by explaining the connection to our Rotary Foundation 2. Spend most of the program telling a story that paints a vivid picture demonstrating how The Rotary Foundation Alumni’s experience saved and changed lives 3. End by explaining how with more donations to our annual fund we could save and change more lives 4. Use discussion, not lecture – tell a little, ask a little

Three ways to make ‘The Weekly Foundation Thought’ work: The same person Presents ‘The Weekly Foundation Thought’ each week A group of people are responsible each week and they take turns rotating the responsibility The responsibility is rotated throughout the entire Club’s membership

21 The Club Foundation Chairs
Manage the Club EREY campaign Help identify club members who are capable of donating at the higher levels Encourage attendance at Foundation Events Encourage club pursuit of grants Encourage participation with RI programs... This is the best way to show how TRF works ! Partner with other clubs on grants Schedule TRF Speakers – 4 – 5 per year
