Important Information Your child must be 4 years of age before August 31st of the current year to be eligible. The Pre-K program at West Elementary has 24 available slots. The program also has 12 slots available at Abilene Elementary. The program is funded through a grant from the State, and students and/or their families must meet one or more of the following qualifications to enroll: Single parent home Low income (child’s family must qualify for free meals) Teen parent (at least one parent must have been 19 years old or younger when THIS child was born) At least one parent does not have a high school diploma or GED Limited English Language Developmental Delay (a delay will be determined by pre-testing)

Pre-Enrollment Pre-enrollment for the following school year begins in March. You may pick up a form at any of the elementary schools, and return it to West Elementary after March 10th, to see if your child qualifies.

About Pre-K AM hours are 8:30-11:35 (Abilene & West) PM hours are 12:30-3:35 (West Only) NO classes on Fridays Home visits School year begins after Labor Day
