To help you to recognise and improve your employability skills Aims To help you to find out about your future options in an objective and impartial setting To help you to recognise and improve your employability skills

Objectives To give you access to local Universities, Further Education/Training providers and Businesses To help you to gain skills to enable you to make informed choices for Year 10, Post 16 and Post 18 To give you an insight into Employability skills and what ‘making a first impression’ means To gain a greater understanding of all option choices and confidence in your ability to create your own career path

Order of the day 8:30 Leave JCA (you will receive your personalised timetable on the coach) 9:15 Arrive at venue & start the day in HE zone (activities on arrival) 9:45 Introduction to the day 10:00 Introducing Higher Education workshop 10:50 Further Education & Training Provider Sessions (one of each) 11:40 Lunch 12:30 Employability Session 13:20 Business Sector Workshops x 2 14:10 Prepare to leave (activities on departure) 14:30 Leave Venue & return to JCA for 15:00

Activities and workshops Workshops from Universities and “Into University” (40- 45mins) Workshops from Further Education providers (20 mins) and Training Providers (20 mins) Workshops from Business’ (2 x 20 mins) Employer activity (40-45mins)

Student Guide All students will receive a personalised guide with their allocated workshops We will do our best to accommodate your preferences but this may not be possible in all cases Bring a pen to make notes during the day There are limited options for food or drink so bring a bottle of water & packed lunch Other schools will be attending at the same time as us – we will stay within our JCA groups at all times and you will be supervised during activities by JCA staff

Consent Forms A letter with information about the event and a consent form was sent out over the Christmas holidays. You will not be able to attend the event unless you return a completed consent form with emergency contact details.
