THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA : MARPOL, ANNEX VI PREVENTION OF THE AIR POLLUTION FROM SHIPS FUEL OIL QUALITY (Reg.VI/18) THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA : IS BLENDS OF HYDROCARBONS DERIVING FROM PETROLEUM REFININGS IS FREE FROM INORGANIC OIL DOES NOT INCLUDE ADDED SUBSTANCES OR CHEMICAL WASTES

THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS DOES NOT : MARPOL, ANNEX VI PREVENTION OF THE AIR POLLUTION FROM SHIPS FUEL OIL QUALITY (Reg.VI/18) THE FUEL USED ON BOARD SHIPS DOES NOT : EXCEED THE SULPHUR LIMITS OF 4.5% m/m (or 1.5% m/m) CAUSE AN ENGINE TO EXCEED THE NOx EMISSION LIMITS CONTAIN INORGANIC ACID JEOPARDIZE THE SAFETY OF THE SHIP OR AFFECT THE PERFORMANCE OF THE MACHINERY, IS NOT HARMFULL TO THE PERSONNEL CONTRIBUTE OVERALL TO ADDITIONAL AIR POLLUTION
