GPA IS VERY IMPORTANT! Please take your grades seriously! There are two cumulative GPA checkpoints in the Elementary Education program: Students need a 2.75 cumulative GPA for these classes: EDF 370, EDEL 350, and PSY 347 (2) a 3.0 cumulative GPA for your last two semesters which include your second Practicum and Student Teaching The more credits you accumulate, the harder it is to raise your GPA with a semester of classes The most practical, efficient, and least stressful strategy is to earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA early in your college career and maintain it throughout your studies

Grade Replacement BEST Way to Raise Your GPA Complete Grade Replacement Application prior to semester’s drop deadline Form is available on Registrar’s website Information: www.unco.edu/registrar Once the new grade is posted, the first grade is removed from your GPA (but does remain on your transcript) Contact Financial Aid regarding guidelines Grade Replacement may affect Financial Aid and does affect the COF Stipend

Community College Courses: View the Community College Guaranteed Transfer Agreement form available on the ELED website or in the ELED office http://www.unco.edu/cebs/teacher-education/undergraduate- programs/elementary-education/advising/forms-resources.aspx It can also be found on the Registrar’s home page at: http://www.unco.edu/regrec/Current%20Students/Transfer/Articulation .html Grade of “C” or higher transfers to UNC Transfer credits do not affect your UNC GPA All Transcripts should be sent to the Registrar’s Office
