8 GPA is Very Important! There are two grade checkpoints in the Elementary Education program that you should start working towards now. Students need a 2.75 cumulative GPA for classes in the PTEP portion (IV on the ELED checklist) of the degree and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for your last two semesters which include The Math and Science Practicum and Student Teaching The more credits you accumulate, the harder it is to raise your GPA with a semester of classes The most practical, efficient strategy is to earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA early in your college career and maintain it throughout your studies

9 Grade Replacement is the Best way to Raise Your GPA
Complete the On-line Grade Replacement form available on the Registrar’s website prior to the semester’s drop deadline (Sept. 1, 2017) The new grade you receive will be calculated into your cumulative GPA Information can be found at Contact Financial Aid regarding guidelines Grade Replacement may affect Financial Aid and does affect COF Stipend
