FOLLETT OVERVIEW Link learning resources to state standards more effectively Manage library and other assets more efficiently Increase students' access to information more easily Control the safety of Internet use more effectively

FOLLETT Can use to store all records for books, videos, as well as all equipment. Able to create an up-to-date needs assessment. Can access all patrons, what they have checked out and when it is due.

TAG OF THE MONTH This is a great resource for understanding what each tag is used for in a MARC record. Also on this page are examples of MARC records, DVD, Electronic resource CD-ROM, Video-Cassette, Sound Recording—CD, Electronic Resource Web Site, Realia (Equipment), Sound Recording (Cassette) Click on the picture. This will take you to the web site to view the tag of the month.

MARC MARC stands for MA chine-Readable Cataloging record. "Machine-readable" means that one particular type of machine, a computer, can read and interpret the data in the cataloging record. The following pages will explain why this is important and how it is made possible.
