Cell Phone Policy

Cell Phone policy… Personal cell phones may only be carried in the consumer’s home in case of emergency and/or for Family Care to call the employee due to schedule changes. While at the consumer’s residence, Family Care employees are expected to exercise their discretion in using personal cellular phones. Please keep on vibrate.

Don’t lose your hours… Personal calls during work hours, regardless of the phone used can interfere with productivity, safety and be distracting to consumers. Family Care employees are also to ensure that friends and family members are aware of this cell phone policy. Note: Using your cell phone for personal reasons may cause the consumer to request a different aide.

Responsibility… Family Care will not be liable for the loss of personal cell phones brought into the consumer’s residence.

Clocking In/Out… Employees are allowed to clock in/out with their cell phones using the ClearCare Go App. The address for the app is located on the front of your badge. Location services must be turned on or our system will not allow you to clock in or out from the app. If you can not clock in/out from your cell phone you must clock in/out from the consumer’s phone. This is a safety procedure for you. Our system logs the time and location you use to clock in/out for your safety. Remember: Some clients have Alzheimer's and dementia, they may say that you were never at their home if you don’t clock in/out. This system can prove you were at their residence.
