You may loose momentum and/or control of the vehicle. Increase the distance between you and the car in front of you using the 4-second rule to give yourself adequate time to stop.

9. MAINTAIN YOUR VEHICLE Get regular oil changes and tune-ups. Top up radiator with water and coolant in hot weather. Maintain your brakes and shock absorbers. Fill the wiper fluid and check the wipers. Check tire pressure and treads. Check lights and signals.
