Agenda Phys 121 Common Exam 2 Review Fall 2018 Exam overview & mechanics Formula sheet (most recent) Common 2, Sample Exam #1, Rev 2 Common 2, Sample Exam #5, time permitting Open agenda

Exam Mechanics and Scope The exam covers Lectures 5, 6, and 7: Potential, Capacitance, Resistance, Simple DC circuits. See syllabus for details and the list of textbook sections covered. There are 16 multiple choice questions on the exam. No extra credit problems are offered. Try to do all 16. There is no penalty for guessing. Use the formula sheet at the back of the exam. It is the same as the one posted. Bring your calculator, extra batteries, and some #2 pencils for marking the SCANTRON form. Mark answer choices on the question booklet and then on the Scantron. This avoids erasures on the Scantron which often scan incorrectly. Do calculations on the exam paper under each question. If you need more room, use the back of the test paper. You are expected to show some work for most problems although it will not be graded. The professors may deny credit in cases where no work is shown. Turn off all electronic devices except calculators. Cell phones, smart phones, any communication devices or noise makers other than normal calculators are not allowed. Calculators are allowed. Bring extra batteries.
