STEP 1 – Designing the Logo Selecting a topic requirements Design a logo for someone in class You will need to each fill out a questionnaire to help each other understand what you want for your logo The logo can be fictional or real Your name – good for resumes A fictional or real business Ex: Babysitter, DJ, Tutor, or a parent/family member’s business Club, community service Must be original Your logo must have a symbol, text, and a tagline Have your client select a topic for the logo Brainstorm/research ideas Begin sketching, must have 5 different ideas for one topic Rough sketches to be done in pencil on white drawing paper, then apply color You will need to turn in sketches in with final design Create 3 different digital designs using Adobe Illustrator ONLY

STEP 2 – CREATING THE LOGO Confer with your client – find out what they want for a logo and any ideas they have for what it should look like Sketch out 5 different ideas for the logo on drawing paper Show your client the 5 designs and get their feedback Make any necessary changes before beginning to create it digitally Use Adobe Illustrator to design the logo Must have one logo in black and white & one in color Show the client the final digital logo designs for final approval

STEP 2 – Creating a mood board Creating a color scheme (use Pinterest) Include 2 different font choices Create 3 different patterns to use for details through the logo campaign Include images of inspiration (things from nature, man made objects – not someone else’s logo or artwork) Include original patterns that you design using Illustrator Include THREE final digital logo designs
