Graphic Sources A graphic source shows or explains information in the text. Pictures, maps, charts, time lines, and diagrams are all examples of graphic sources. As you read, use graphic sources to help you understand information. Compare information in the text with information in the graphic sources.

Which is a valid statement based on the graphic source? The photograph was taken in Florida. A photographer took this picture during strong winds. Concrete buildings are the safest places to be during hurricanes.

Which is a valid statement based on the graphic sources? Photos of damage should be taken during the storm. Storms can cause much damage. Rescue workers do what they can to help those in need.
