HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A VET CENTER? Many Veterans have never heard of the Vet Center! All services are 100% free and confidential! Goal: provide counseling, outreach and referral services, to help Veterans make a post-war adjustment to civilian life. Getting started. VET CENTER HISTORY 1979: VA established outreach centers for Vietnam Veterans and their families. Service extended to all war zone Veterans and sexual harassment/assault victims of any era. Currently we have over 300 locations nationwide, including Alaska and Hawaii.
