Brain Pop www.brainpop.com In classrooms, on mobile devices, and at home, BrainPOP engages students through animated movies, learning games, interactive quizzes, primary source activities, and more. Their content is carefully mapped to the Common Core, aligned to academic standards, and is searchable with the online Standards Tool. BrainPOP can be used in various learning settings, supporting individual, team and whole-class learning. At school and in more informal learning environments, the characters help introduce new topics and illustrate complex concepts.

Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces ALEKS is a Web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system. ALEKS uses adaptive questioning to quickly and accurately determine exactly what a student knows and doesn't know in a course then instructs the student on the topics he/she is most ready to learn. As a student works through a course, ALEKS periodically reassesses the student to ensure that topics learned are also retained. A student who shows a high level of mastery of an ALEKS course will be successful in the actual course he/she is taking.

ALEKS provides the advantages of one-on-one instruction, 24/7, from virtually any Web-based computer for a fraction of the cost of a human tutor. Many topics are available in both English and Spanish. Simply click next to "English" in the main menu and pull down to "Espanol.“ Whenever the student reenters the system after a break, he/she automatically returns to the place he/she was last working. This is true even if the departure was caused by unexpected loss of connectivity on the Internet or a PC crash. ALEKS offers a comprehensive message center that allows the student to communicate with his/her instructor about the content using subject-appropriate notation.
