Maintenance module Martin Heigl CTO martin.heigl@beasgroup.com

Maintenance at the highest level beas provides you with a professional, fully integrated maintenance software Avoid unplanned downtime Increase system availability Keep the production running Maintain control Save money Strengthen your competitiveness Remain revision-proof

Stay auditable Maintenance of machines and resources Automated maintenance job creation due to different key figures Capacity planning of maintenance operations Material planning for required spare parts (MRP, MRP2) Schedule interruptions in production planning (planned shutdowns) Monitor external engines worldwide using the beas integration hub No interfaces required, it is a fully integrated and automated solution

Events Following events can trigger a maintenance order fixed maintenance cycles (maintenance calendar with creation wizard) depending on hours of operation depending on produced quantity / stroke rates combination of all factors Reported interruptions via terminal With connected MDC via integration hub also more factors can be considered

Maintenance Plan You can define in a service contract Which event triggers the maintenance order What kind of activities are to be created What type of material is required. Should this be monitored in order planning? What steps are necessary and which resources are required When and for how long interruptions of the resource are planned

Resource and tools The maintenance can be defined for each resource and each tool: ID Description Tool or resource Creation is possible via Service – internal Maintenance Resource – Maintenance Tool - Maintenance

Maintenance plan There are different maintenance periods for various maintenance tasks: check oil level weekly, check gear box monthly, yearly exchange of parts Any number of maintenance plans can be created and any intervals can be defined Time line Oil level Oil level Oil level Oil level Oil level Oil level Check motor Check motor

Maintenance plan Maintenance plan consists of the following areas ID, Master data Event definition (Calendar, Counter) Definition of actions Activities, History

Maintenance plan – required material, activities BOM (Material requirement) Material is required for a maintenance. BOM is created A routing is defined for the description of the activities The required material and if necessary the required resources will be displayed at the due date of the maintenance order That way, it is ensured the material is always available. Maintenance plan Routing (Required operation) Maintenance order Order scheduling

Maintenance – Work order BOM (Material requirement) A work order can be created from the maintenance order. As soon as the work order was created, this will be used as reference for scheduling. All material postings, costs and times are booked to this work order. The work times of the maintaining employee can be planned via APS. Maintenance plan Routing (Required operation) Maintenance order Work order

Maintenance plan – Work order Required information BOM, routing Type of creation (automatic - number of days before due date or manually) Production type (for example, create new production type „maintenance“) Item, to be used as assembly. May not be storage related and may not have a BOM or routing, as these are defined separately.

Maintenance plan – Service call, activity A service call makes less sense for an internal maintenance order and will rather be used for external maintenance. A beas activity or SAP activity can be created in parallel. You need to indicate: Creation: automatic, manual, no creation Creation – how many days before due date Remarks Fields are only available if a business partner was stored in mainternance – master data.

Resources – interruption The resource is not available during maintenance. Therefore a planned interruption will be scheduled. The interruption time will be reserved. Necessary: New interruption reason (eg. Maintenance) Creation type (no, manual, automatic) Interruption from - to Remark

Maintenance order due to an interruption A maintenance order can also be created via interruption message. The maintenance plan will be marked accordingly: selectable at interruption If an interruption will be reported, all maintenance plans will be made available, which are linked to the respective resource. beas creates the required maintenance order directly, which is necessary to solve the interruption.

Regular maintenance Maintenance orders can be created: manually in maintenance plan via wizard in maintenance plan via interruption message directly in the resource administration or tool administration

Regular maintenance using wizard Via Order: New A single or a whole series of maintenance orders can be created in regular periods. A setup wizard will be maded available, when you select „Repeat“.

Order creation via counter events Maintenance module is fully integrated in beas. Accordingly there is an access to all reported times and quantities. These can be used, to determine the next maintenance Example: All 1000 items, all 50 hours But at the latest after 30 days Or in combination of all: All 1000 items but after max. 50 operating hour, but at least all 30 days

Order creation via counter events - external machine Machines or resources outside the local network, can be connected via the intergration hub to transfer data. Machine / Resource Integration Hub Maintenance System

Task: Check all triggers Event monitoring As soon the maintenance module is be used, a server-task is created, which monitors the events. This creates necessary work orders, activities, interruption etc. Therefore it is required, that the beas server is running. You can initiate manually using the button „Run Automatic Task“. beas Service Task: Check all triggers

Maintenance order A window for the editing of the maintenance is available as Terminal App (Desktop variant) via SAP – Service – Maintenance orders Suitable for employees, who have to edit these maintenance orders Available views: Open and to be complete (today) Currently in work All / Archives

Maintenance order All functions, which were defined in the maintenance plan, are available: Important information from master data Information from maintenance plan Maintenance order specific information Status (planned, in work, completed) Up to 4 UDF‘s

Maintenance order material The material list of the stored work order can be edited directly: Collective issue of material Single issue Edit WEB APP: The normal app „Issue material“ will be used

Maintenance order activities The routing of the stored work order will be shown directly. All beas standard functions are available here: Login and logoff of an activity Receipt times Time report Edit details WEB APP: Standard - app for order time login and logoff

Interruption An interruption has to be active, to ensure that the waiting resource is not used. Edit and monitor the interruption related to the maintenance order. Direct start and stop of interruptions Planning of further interuptions

Further functions in the maintenance order Documents: Storage of documents Dokument release management Dokument version management View stored documents Further functions Monitor activities and create new activities Monitor and create service call

Evaluation features All accrued costs are stored in the stored work order So all standard evaluation functions can be used for the cost determination and quality determination Post calculation After post calculation – evaluation by stored costs Order times – evaluation by resource, item, personnel and much more, related to work orders of type maintenance Interruption evaluation And much more
