WHAT WE’RE LEARNING THIS MONTH: KINDERGARTEN NEWS WHAT WE’RE LEARNING THIS MONTH: ELA/WRITING: We will begin another Informational Unit – reading nonfiction books, and Writing to Win. Sight Words: big, black, hand, brown, name, end, not, on, like, way, can, yes, now, help, day MATH: Measuring and Analyzing Data -Numbers to 100 -Number Identification – numbers 0-100 (out of order) SCIENCE: Day and Night Sky (continued) Living and Nonliving Things SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be studying November Holidays Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving IMPORTANT INFORMATION Please continue to send in hand sanitizer, tissue, and hand soap. Please be sure to check your child’s binder daily and return it to school. Remember we give a homework calendar for the entire month. Homework is given everyday except Friday; please help your child with their homework. Please make sure that your child attends school every day and is on time. Attendance matters and is an important component in academic success. Attendance and tardies are being closely monitored. IMPORTANT DATES NOV. 8-Election Day NOV. 9 – Progress Reports NOV. 11 – NO SCHOOL – Veteran’s Day Holiday NOV. 17-Grandparents eat lunch with students NOV. 21 – Nov. 25-Thanksgiving break We hope everyone has a fun & safe Thanksgiving!
