Mary Seacole

What do we know about Mary Seacole Mary was a very famous nurse and she was born in 1805, and sadly Mary died in 1881 Mary Seacole's mother was Jamaican and her father was a Scottish soldier. Her mother was a nurse, seacoles  mother used to help the wounded soldiers and other injured or unwell people.

At the age of twelve Mary helped her mum to look after the wounded soldiers. When Mary was young she used to play hospitals with her pets and dolls, so it looks like she wanted to work as a nurse just like her mum.

Mary wanted to work in England as a nurse, unfortunately the government would not allow her in the country ,but they knew she was she was Jamaican, They thought that she'd make other people sick.

Her mother was a nurse, seacoles  mother used to help the wounded soldiers and other injured or unwell people.
