The presentation and Q&A will be limited to 30 minutes total (20mins presentation + 10mins Q&A).

Proposal Overview This is your “elevator pitch” slide You are presenting to a review panel of scientists who are not necessarily experts in your topic. In one slide, you are asked to explain the concept, what you are planning to achieve and the impact of the potential outcomes for the field and for SLAC. (1 slide)

Proposal Overview Explain the relevance of the proposal to the FY18 LDRD call (Category 1 or 2) If “1”: Which topic is your proposal addressing and what is unique about your idea or approach? What are the collaborations, disciplines or perspectives that this proposal will bring together? If “2”: What scientific or technological area is your proposal addressing and what is unique about your idea or approach? Why is this a high-risk proposal and what breakthrough could result from it? (1 slide)

Project Description: Background Describe the project’s scientific or technological concepts Describe work that is being performed already at SLAC and elsewhere on the topic, indicating the current state-of-the art. (2 slides)
