You should Bookmark this page. On this page, you’ll be able to: Register for the event Learn the details of the event View a “Prepare” guide so you can get the most out of the event Sign into the event on Event Day

Register for the Event - Page 1 Be sure to have your transcript and a profile image of yourself before starting the event registration process. This is not required, but recommended for a more efficient and personal experience. The transcript will be available to the college representative during the event. Click on the “Register” link in the landing page navigation. Fill in the first page registration information: Be sure to fill in the correct high school name. If your high school is not in our list, be sure to type in the complete high school name (ie “Springfield High School”).

Register for the Event - Page 1 continued... Fill in the first page registration information: If you want to receive text alerts reminding you of the event, be sure to enter your mobile number - Note that eCareerFairs will never use this number for anything other than event alerts for which you have registered. Press “Create Account” to move on to the second page of the registration.

Register for the Event - Page 2 Enter your registration profile information that will be viewable by the college reps. Have your transcript document available on your computer or mobile device. You will then be able to upload it to the College Fair website. Press “Save” to complete the registration process.

Add your Profile Photo To add a more personal experience to the event while communicating with the college reps. Upload your profile photo. To do this, follow the steps below: Click on the silhouette circle in the site header. Select the “Edit Account” button. Select the “My Picture” tab. Upload your picture by pressing the “Choose file” button. Press the “Save” button.

Prepare for the Fair Now that you’re registered, review and follow the steps in the “Prepare” section of the College Fair Landing Page, go to: https://CollegeFair.TheBigVirtual.com/Register Here you will learn the details of each preparation step including: developing a college wish list, preparing for Event Day, and attending the event.

Attend the Event On Event Day, sign in to the event. Start from the landing page, and select the Sign in link. You will be directed to the “My College Fairs” page where you will see The Big Virtual - College Admissions Fair tile. From here, you can choose the “go to Event Lobby” option. From the Lobby, you can search your favorite colleges. To speak to a college representative, enter the booth by selecting the school logo or name.

Attend the Event - continued... Once in the booth, you can view posted materials such as tour videos, brochures and other relevant admissions documents. You can also watch or join in on a booth level chat session where you can ask general questions. The chat session may be presented by a livestream or text chat depending on the school. In the booth, you’ll also notice several school reps ready for your department specific questions (ie: admissions, finance, academic, athletic, etc). Click on a rep to get into their conversation queue.

Attend the Event - continued... Once in a conversation queue, you may have to wait to speak with the representative. The eCareerFairs platform will notify you via audio alerts when the rep is ready to speak with you. While waiting to speak with a rep, you can enter a conversation queue of another rep from the same school, or a different school. Once you enter a conversation, you’ll communicate via text or video chat. Once your chat is complete, you can take notes on it and rate the school. Be sure to visit as many schools as you can beyond those on your wish list.

Congrats! You’ve Completed the Event With more information on hand, you should now be able to narrow down your school selection further. Consider sending a follow-up email to reps of the schools of interest. Their contact information is on the virtual event site in their college booth. Plan to travel and visit the schools on your list.
