2 This presentation will explain how to edit or add information to a project listing. You must: - have a project that is already listed on www.startwithwater.orgwww.startwithwater.org - have the right to edit this project September, 20102

3 How do you know if you already have a project on the site? -If you listed a project at an earlier time, or -If someone else listed the project -Try searching for projects listed in the area (country or region) your project is located; -Or try searching for a project name that has key works from your project eg. In the search fields put in “Wells Kenya” in the field: “project name” -For more information about searching see the presentation “searching for projects” September, 20103

4 How do you know if you have the right to edit this project? -The system behind www.startwithwater.org needs to know who is connected to what project. In order to do this, only people who are signed in can be connected to a project.www.startwithwater.org -You can edit a project if: -You listed it. In this case your user name is in the “project listed by” field; -You are the project manager - either the donor club project manager or the host club project manager. September, 20104

5 Getting Started: Step 1: If you have never signed in on this site before, Sign Up*. If you’ve already signed up, Sign In. September, 20105 * For information on signing up, see the Presentation: Signing Up

6 Find your project: Step 1: Click on Projects September, 20106

7 Find your project: Step 2: Click on “List a project” September, 20107

8 8 Find your project: Step 3: Click on “Click here”

9 September, 20109 Find your Project: Step 4: The projects you are project Manager on will appear in the drop down. From the drop down menu select the project you want to edit.

10 September, 201010 Find your Project: Step 5: If you want a list of all projects you have listed on the site, click on “Owners’ Projects” The page will refresh automatically. From the drop down menu select the project you want to edit.

11 September, 201011 Edit your Project: Step 6: Details of the project you wish to edit should now be listed on the page. Go to the bottom of the listing and click on “Edit” If you want to delete the Project, click on “Delete” To add a new project, click “New”

12 September, 201012 Edit your Project: Step 7: The page will now change to allow you to edit fields. make the changes You want, and click “Update”

13 September, 201013 Edit your Project: Step 8: Advanced options: To access more fields, including uploading pictures, click here

14 September, 201014 Edit your Project: Step 8: Advanced options: Review the tabs available on this page. The last tab on the right, is Photos.

15 September, 201015 Edit your Project: Step 8: Advanced options: Click on “upload photo” to upload images of your project. You can do this multiple times. Then select which photo you want as your “key image”. This image will show up on the detailed listing of your project (when searching)

16 September, 201016 Edit your Project: When you have finished uploading photos, other documents, and/or completing advanced fields, and have saved your work, You may click on either “Back to List projects” or “Back to Admin index” or one of the main navigation buttons

17 September, 201017 Congratulations! You have now successfully edited your project! Be sure to check out the other useful sections of the website.
