11/27/2012 Background The BOR feel strongly that resident undergraduate students should not bear the burden of tuition rate increases for this year and next year. BOR allocated $16M in Available University Funds (AUF) to UT System for the benefit of its 8 UT academic institutions (excluded UT Austin) to eliminate or greatly reduce tuition and fee increases for FY13 and FY14 2

Background UTSA will be reimbursed the following cost per year for 2 years for approximately $2M in order to offset tuition rate reduction for UG resident students. IT - $662K Insurance related - $276K Copyright license - $69K Tuition reduction will be effective Fall 2013 (FY14). No additional revenue but change in revenue source. 3
