Personal protection Overall Safety helmets Safety shoes Earmuffs Respirators & eye protection Issa AL-Tobi

Safety procedure Personal hygiene by rubbing a barrier cream Protective clothing Issa AL-Tobi

Behavior in the workshop Do not distract any students attention and disturb his concentration (pushing, throwing things, practical joking…etc) Issa AL-Tobi

Eye protection Some form of goggle or visor should be worn when machining metals and for certain other operations. Issa AL-Tobi

Head protection Protective helmets should be worn when working on site or in a shop where slinging and craning is in progress. Issa AL-Tobi

Hand protection Oil and chemical resistant gloves will protect the hands against splashes. Special gloves are required when handling sheet metal and hot materials. Issa AL-Tobi

Foot protection Non-slip reinforced safety shoes and boots are a cheap way of protecting yourself from a common accident Issa AL-Tobi

Lifting and carrying The incorrect way to lift Issa AL-Tobi

Continued The correct way to carry Issa AL-Tobi

Continued The correct way to carry Low enough to give unobstructed view. Issa AL-Tobi

Mechanical handling devices Chain must not be bolted together. Chain must not be knotted. Issa AL-Tobi

Continued Wire ropes must not be sharply bent at any point. Wire ropes are never used in contact with hot metals or acids. Wire ropes must never be used singly when hooked by a hand-spliced eye. The cable is liable to untwist, allowing the splices to open and or slip Issa AL-Tobi

Continued The proper pin must be used in all shackles. All end links, rings and shackles must ride freely upon any hook on which they are used. Issa AL-Tobi

Continued Do not use a file as a lever. Issa AL-Tobi

Continued The first picture shows belt drive and guard removal. The lower one shows fixed guard in position. Issa AL-Tobi

Grinding wheels safety Issa AL-Tobi

Continued Work rest too far from the wheel. Tool may dragged between rest and cause serious injuries. Issa AL-Tobi

Continued Tool correctly and safely supported by set the work rest close to the wheel. Issa AL-Tobi

Cause of electric shock Issa AL-Tobi
