Project Quality Quality Issues are addressed in Work Package 6. Co-Leaders of the WP: CRETHIDEV, AUA, UNIST Work starts with the formation of the Quality Committee.

WP6 - Quality Tasks – deliverables: 6.1 Establish the Quality Committee 6.2 Develop a monitoring, evaluation, and quality plan 6.3 Progress reports 6.4 Hire External Monitor

6.1 - Quality Committee The QC will be composed of 2 consortium members from EU and 2 from Jordan. CRETHIDEV (chair/QM), JUST, BAU, HTWK, AUA QC main duties: to monitor and evaluate the progress of the project to ensure that all its activities are carried out properly according to European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance and to ensure proper execution of the project to achieve its objective.

6.2 - Quality Plan The main purpose of a Quality Plan is to describe the Quality Management procedures that the project team will follow in order to ensure, monitor and control the quality of all processes and deliverables produced during the project lifecycle. The quality plan will contain the milestones of the project as well as the means, tools and the indicators for the evaluation of the project progress and project’s results. It will be the roadmap for the evaluation of the quality of the project.

6.2 - Quality Plan More specifically, the QP must clearly define and identify: The content, format, review and approval process of the project deliverables The responsibilities of the project partners regarding those deliverables All the different tools and means to be applied throughout the project duration The guidelines for adequate implementation and thereby assure that certain quality standards in the performance of our tasks are fulfilled The quality requirements that must be obtained throughout the project lifecycle, those that the deliverables, actions and results must conform to.

Quality Monitoring & Evaluation The QC will design a suitable evaluation process that will make use of internal and external control of the project and be responsible for creating a set of indicators for the evaluation of the project as a whole. Internal assessment will be based on regular assessment of the course and progress of the project, but also of organizational aspects of the educational content . Some main quality characteristics that will be regularly evaluated: smoothness of management and communication between the partnership timely accomplishment of its milestones effective budget control

Quality Monitoring & Evaluation Qualitative and quantitative indicators will be applied for: Project processes The indicators will be relevant to the quality of the project management, coordination, structure, support mechanisms, content, and resources. Project deliverables The deliverables of INVENT project consist of the results of the 7 Work packages, as described in the project proposal. Each deliverable will be evaluated for its completion in due time as well as for its completeness, clarity and comprehensiveness Monitoring instruments shall include questionnaires, interview grids and check-lists. Dedicated assessment tools for training deliverables will be developed, such as evaluation forms for staff and students.

Quality Monitoring & Evaluation The results of the evaluation will be analyzed by the QC, which will determine if a dedicated action plan is needed. The feedback of the QC to the Steering Committee and tasks leaders will allow regular improvement of training contents and teaching strategy during the life of the project. By following performance indicators as part of the Quality Plan and from the feedback of all participants during meetings and communications, the QC will ensure proper functioning and optimization of the project processes as well as related educational contents and tools. A global internal audit will be held after 24 months to ensure the coherence of the overall approach of the project aims.

6.3 Progress reports Six-month monitoring reports will be elaborated and addressed to the Project Coordinator. Reports will be based on information gathered by all partners in the different activities of the project and the results from the monitoring & evaluation activities. Evaluation reports will also be elaborated at midterm and at the end of the project, showing the impact on organizations, territories and beneficiaries involved.

6.4 - External Quality Auditor (Monitor) In coordination with the project manager and other project consortium members, the QC will set criteria for the selection of the “External Quality Auditor (Monitor)”. The external Monitor shall possess scientific expertise in the field of higher education as well as EU projects. The Monitor will be hired to verify the quality of the project, the achievement of milestones and objectives, and to evaluate the results of each WP based on the mid-term and final report as well as on audits with the project partners at one project meeting in beginning of 2018. This external body will have to take into account the effectiveness of the internal quality assurance processes, set at the beginning of the project. The educational contents created within the project will be evaluated to confirm they properly follow the Process and standards of European quality in higher education.

Progress reports: every 6 months Time schedule Quality plan: by 9/2017 Progress reports: every 6 months External monitor selection: by end of 2017 Global internal audit : 24 month (12/2018) External audit: 30 month (6/2019)
