Computer Skills Lecturer Muhammed YASIN http://www.gcflearnfree.org/ An overview of course objectives, contents & outcomes

Rules %80 attendance is required. Students are expected to be on time for the lecture. Teaching medium is English. None of the other languages are allowed during the lecture. Disturbing the others(including the instructor) are not allowed. No ringing phone during the lecture. Attending students are considered as already accepted the rules. .

Course Objectives To introduce the student to a variety of terms, definitions, and concepts that apply to the design and use of computers To give “hands on” experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, using Windows Operating System. To teach basic internet usage and to print documents. Lab assignments will be combined for a comprehensive study. Students will be thoroughly tested on their ability to recall facts about computers and the use of applications.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES Getting know how to use computers as a user Ability to use application softwares over OS Learning installing needed and uninstalling unneeded applications Ability to use Microsoft Windows as a user Ability to use search engines and internet
